Awesome Luca, maybe I'll do a step by step sometime...I guess two things that are beneficial to focus on would be solid drawing skills, i.e. having a good understanding of perspective and composition, and developing your eye for design. Watching movies with an analytical mind can help speed up your decision-making process while working through a painting as well as allow you to be able to identify when something looks off.
Keep it up! When you work like that you make break-throughs when you least expect it.
